Signifier Mode: 2+ Players (2-8)
This gameplay Mode is played with the Signifier Mod and can be played with any of the other Mods in addition.
Use Fellowship of Fools to intentionally explore a specific Prompt (Situation or Topic) with other players.
- Together, pick one Prompt from the Topic Cards or Situation Cards to explore in more detail with others who share the dilemma, decision, or Situation (for example: going on a retreat, surviving the zombie apocalypse together, dealing with money problems, addiction, stress, depression, etc).
- This card is your Signifier Card, place it with the chosen prompt upright on a table.
- Discuss and decide what Mod(s) (Magick, Intentional, Feedback) you will be using.
- The player with the next upcoming birthday goes first and shuffles the Topic Cards and Situation Cards together, and then draws as many as the number indicated next to the Signifier Card Prompt.
- Pass the cards to the next player clockwise, they then shuffle the cards themselves and draw as many cards as the number indicated next to the Signifier Card Prompt.
- All players should turn over their cards at the same time on the table and then choose the prompts they will play according to the agreed upon Mod. From these, players select at least one card prompt to play and discuss in relation to the Signifier prompt.
- Starting with the first player, they place their chosen cards below the Signifier Card on the table, with their prompts in play upright.
- The first player then uses the prompts to explore the Signifier Card Prompt in play, discussing how these prompts relate to the Signifier Prompt and their own perspectives on it.
- When the player has felt that they have covered their prompts, the next player clockwise from them does Step 7 and 8.
- Repeat Step 9 until all players have gone.
- After everyone has played their cards, conversation can open up for others to comment on the cards and words of other players.
