Multiplayer Tarot Mode: 2 Players (+ optional spectators)
This gameplay Mode is played with the Magick Mod or the Intentional Mod and can use the Signifier Mod.
Use Fellowship of Fools as a Tarot Deck and learn how to do a Tarot Reading.
- Choose which player will be the Tarot Reader who reads and interprets the cards and which will be the Querent asking the cards a question. The Reader decides if they will be playing with the Magick Mod or the Intentional Mod.
- (Optional) The Querent can choose a Signifier card for their reading, representing themselves or the topic/focus of the reading.
- The Reader chooses a spread. If you are newer to Tarot we suggest starting with 3 card spreads such as these. Here are some other Tarot Spreads to choose from.
- The Querent should shuffle the cards while thinking about the topic/focus of their reading.
- When the Querent is ready, they draw the appropriate number of cards for the spread.
- The Tarot Reader takes the cards and turns them over left to right. They read the cards according to the Mod they have chosen, and then discuss them with the Querent. Reading first the card in relation to its position in the spread, and then as other cards are flipped over, reading them in conjunction. The Reader can use the card Prompts to help guide their reading and learning the cards, or they can read up on the Tarot Card meanings to inform their readings.
- For a deeper reading, read about the importance of numerology, try to interpret the play of numbers, elements, suits, and prevalence of court cards or major arcana in the spread.
- For clarification on a card, the Querent can draw another card after shuffling again to ask for more information.
- When the Reader and Querent feel satisfied, they can switch roles and start again from Step 1.
