Single Player Tarot Mode
This gameplay Mode can be played with the Signifer Mod and the Magick Mod or the Intentional Mod
Use Fellowship of Fools as a Tarot Deck and learn how to do a Tarot Reading.
- You are both the Querent and the Reader of the cards in this Mode. Think about what you would like to ask the cards about, it can be a specific question or a more general query about a topic/focus/person.
- (Optional) You can choose a Signifier/Significator card for your reading, representing yourself or the topic/focus of the reading. Place this card on a table surface and either overlay your tarot spread or place it beneath your Signifier.
- Choose a specific spread for your reading. If you are newer to Tarot we suggest starting with 3 card spreads such as these. Here are some other Tarot Spreads to choose from.
- Choose if you will be reading the cards with the Magick Mod or the Intentional Mod, for newer readers we suggest the Intentional Mod.
- Shuffle the cards while thinking about the topic/focus of the reading.
- When you are ready, cut the deck twice with their non-dominant hand. Choose one stack of cards from among the three stacks you made, this stack goes on top of the other two.
- Flip and read the cards one at a time according to the Mod you choose in Step 4. Read the card in relation to its position in the spread, read its meaning through the FoF Prompt. For more inspiration on reading the cards, we recommend this numerology source and this Tarot resource.
- (Optional) Journal about your Tarot readings to help with the learning and play process of reading Tarot.
- Read each card individually, but as each new card is turned over read it in relation to those that also came before.
- For a deeper reading, pay attention to and interpret the presence, placement and order of numbers, archetypes, elements, and symbolism of the art.
- For clarification on a card, you can shuffle again and draw another card to ask for more information.
